I know that you were all looking forward to reading fresh news so here they are!
We left Cozumel to go to Tulum and visit its famous ruins! Great place as the ruins of the Maya temple are just next to the beach! Amazing view! It was very warm but we could finish the visit by a swim in the sea down the ruins. Lovely!

We were in a hostel run by American people who were there more on holidays than for business, quite a weird atmosphere, but we met 2 catalan guys there, originaly from a village next to Viladecans! So we offered them to join us to go and visit the ruins in Cobá, 40 minutes away from Tulum. Another great place that we visited under a burning sun! 45 degrees at least!

We then decided to go the 4 of us to Mérida, to head to Chichen Itza. That was quite a story to get there as the bus we wanted to take was at 1.40 a.m!!! So we decided to be brave and wait for the bus and we found out at midnight that the bus was full and that we had to wait until 5 a.m!!!!!!! Well, we did it... Slept a few hours in the bus and kept going!
We are currently still in Mérida, beautiful colonial city, in a great hostel, with a pool to cool down at the end of the day! The hostel also offers free salsa lessons that we decided to join, great fun, as well as concerts of Yucatan music! We will struggle to leave this place believe me!
Mérida
We went to Chichen Itza yesterday and that is for both of us the most amazing Maya ruins that we saw so far! That´s so impressive!!! We did the tour with a guide which was great to get to know Maya culture better and understand the signification of the temples and their sculptures.

After this warm visit of the ruins (2h30 under the sun!!!), we went to a much fresher place! The guide took us to a Cenote, a lake in a middle of a cave! We could have a bath there and it was great!

Today was a quiet day visiting the city of Mérida, and of course following the match Barca / Man U! Barcelona champions!!!!!!!!!
We send you loads of kisses and send you all a bit of sun! Well... Maybe not in France and Spain as it´s warm enough, but sun for the people in Cork!!!!!!!!!
